Pentair R111616 6″ Aluminum-Back Algae Brush
Part Number: R111616
Description
A 6-inch professional-grade algae brush featuring an aluminum back plate and stainless steel bristles. Designed for effective scrubbing of pool surfaces such as plaster, gunite or concrete when tackling strong algae or surface buildup.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Fits any standard telescopic pool pole with snap-adapt connection.
- Ideal for use when pool walls or floors show visible algae, staining or debris that cannot be removed by suction or regular brushing.
- Perfect for pool service technicians or high-use residential pools requiring heavy-duty cleaning tools.
Features & Specifications
- Width: 6 inches — ideal for corners, steps and narrow areas.
- Back: Durable aluminum for strength and longevity.
- Bristles: Five rows of stainless steel — suited for heavy, aggressive algae removal.
- Quick-connect snap-adapt socket for secure fit to standard pool poles.
- Designed for robust use in plaster, shot-crete and similarly coarse pool surfaces.
Installation & Use Notes
Immediately before use, attach the brush securely to a compatible telescopic pole. Sweep along pool walls and floors with overlapping strokes and firm pressure to remove algae and buildup. Rinse clean and store dry after use to preserve bristle life and back plate finish.
Maintenance Tip
After each use inspect for bent or broken bristles and signs of corrosion. Replace the brush if bristle stiffness is lost or the back plate becomes warped, to maintain optimum cleaning performance and protect pool surfaces.
