It restores correct sealing elements in the wet-end, helping maintain suction performance, avoid water intrusion into the motor, and extend pump life. Always verify your pump model and housing design before installation to ensure compatibility.
Installation Instructions
- Turn off power to the pump and relieve system pressure before servicing.
- Remove the pump wet-end and dismantle the seal plate, diffuser and lid components.
- Remove old O-rings, gaskets and mechanical seal; clean all mating surfaces thoroughly.
- Install the new mechanical seal and gaskets/O-rings from the kit, apply Magic Lube to O-rings as recommended.
- Reassemble the wet-end, restore power and monitor the pump for leaks or abnormal operation.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Leak at pump housing seam: Check that the O-rings are properly seated and that the mechanical seal is installed correctly.
- Reduced suction or flow drop: A compromised wet-end seal can allow internal bypass—replacing all components in the GO-KIT54 helps restore proper flow.
